I've only ever gotten asked to leave two dealers and one hotel.

I only have been asked to leave one dealership, because apparently if the gates are open and the call center people are there, you can't go see the cars :/ Couldn't find the logic in being forced to leave

I actually got told to leave the "P1 house" in Pebble Beach, even though I wasn't even taking pictures. I saw an F1 in the garage and couldn't help walking up to it, but was then told "private property, dude". I still feel like sh*t :(

I've gotten countless wierd looks for taking pictures, and I've also had people who aren't the owners say "Don't take pictures of that, the owner wouldn't want you to." to which I always reply "Is it your car?" they say no and I say "then it's none of your business" lol

Thankfully I almost never had people tell me not to take pictures of cars but that's most likely because L.A. has plenty of exotics and wealthy people and it's not as awkward in cities like Beverly Hills. Have any of you gotten into arguments, fights, or security guard confrontations?

I argued for ten minutes with a country club employee, then I left, but nothing more than that.

@Diablo_SV What was the argument about? Did the employee say something like private property and you can't take pictures there?

Yeah. I refused to leave so he sprayed me with ghost-pepper spray

Yeah basically but it's not a private club. There were a lot that day, two GT3s, one an RS, a Karma, a Z8, a few other 911s, and an F355 F1 Spyder. I was taking pics of the Ferrari when he came over. Told me to leave. Argued. Asked why I had to leave. Answer given and I didn't feel like arguing over an F355 so I left.

I have only been kicked out of a car park once but that was in a no photography zone so it was my fault for not reading the signs.

Most owners smile at me and some let me in their cars.
