This is a 280i, judging by the rear tail lights it is not likely older than 1985, and having the flag type rear view mirrors, rather than flaired in ones it is probably no new than 1985 (so you would think it is a 1985?! - well TVRs can't always be pinned down on spec, so I would say 1985 or 1986. Note that the TVR 390 was very similar rather trim and flaring changes, and more importantly a Rover V8 based engine. The 280i was first sold as a Tasmin, later as a Tasmin 280i, and later as a 280i, dropping the Tasmin name.
