    I have to admit, a different color for a vintage of this scarceness. Regardless, this purple 300SL was most likely bought/about to be sold at the Gooding Auto Auction in Carmel. It was driving very close to the back lot where the vehicles were to be auctioned off. In addition, nice air conditioning they've got there, gullwing up.

I spoke to the owner when I met him in Vegas. It is the original color and fully restored. Owner was very nice and also owns a 300sl roadster.
I'll get the color name if you guys are interested.

Absolutely gorgeous! I've never really been one for the silver 300SLs, so its nice to see some variation.
