AG is the worst site ever as far as format goes. I can't even figure out how to join that website.

ES is still the best

I am pretty sure it is not illegal to post license plates, as they are displayed publicly.

I didn't say it was illegal. But posting them for the purpose of tracking cars is just so strange and creepy.

It's so that people don't put up multiple spots of the same car, no other way to do it.

This site has always been cr*p, surprising that people have been putting up with it for so long.

If you dislike this site so much, why are you still putting up with it then?
Are you suppose to be messiah and lead us back to the glorious days?

Hey I do it too. In Lightroom, I have everybody's plates tagged just so I can organize and have separate folders for every car just in case people want pictures of their car.

You must have a lot of time on your hands. That is something I wished I started

I do it whenever I put my card in and import all of my photos in Lightroom. It does take me like an hour to tag everything but whatever.

Autogespot is just awful. My photos got taken down for literally the stupidest reasons and I dont like taking a million pictures of one car so I just couldnt deal with that site..

Maybe that's the reason it's the most popular car spotting site by a huge margin. They actually have some standards for quality, unlike for example this site.

I like that you can post quality pictures. Thats about it. Having to have at least 4 pictures of a car is annoying, why cant you post fewer? Also I would not say they have standards for quality if they allow base 911's, mustang gt's, camaro ss's, etc... half the stuff isnt even exotic on there.

they don't allow any 911 under gt3, even if its one that desires to be on there like the 1 of 172 turbo carrera

No, they don't allow anything below a 997 Carrera S. The term "exotic" is thrown around a lot, but like, what is exactly /is/ "exotic"? Some cars are spotworthy to other people, others not so much. It's really based on what you want to see.

You used to be able to post fewer back in the olden days but not anymore. I guess it's because they want quality pictures and they want to make sure you're not cheating.

To me, spotting is primarily location-based. I posted a comment a long time ago about cars being exotic depending on where they are spotted. Import taxes make Corvettes and Mustangs exotic over in Europe/Asia, while they are not exotic at all in the U.S. (with a few exceptions).

Similarly, if a RR Ghost is spotted in Beverly Hills, that's hardly exotic. But, if an RR Ghost is seen in a little town, or a rather poor town, that would be quite exotic. But as for determining how exotic cars are--based on the cars themselves--I'm not sure how to determine that.

Agreed. I haven't seen a Rolls Royce on the road for at least a couple years.

I agree about Rolls Royce being alot rarer or alot more common based on the area.
