Aston Martin DB9 spotted in Charlotte, North Carolina

Details on This Aston Martin DB9:

  • Location
    Charlotte, North Carolina
  • Description
Wasn't sure if I was going to upload this because of the quality. But, I've never gotten a highway shot like this before so I thought I'd upload it. Anyways, saw this DB9 (atleast I'm pretty sure it's a DB9, telling some Astons apart is still hard for me haha) traveling with a Maserati GranTurismo MC on the new section of I-485 that openend in Charlotte on Friday. That Maserati made some great noise!

Thanks West! Considering I took this with my phone, I'm pretty happy with how it came out haha.

Thanks man! And yeah it opened Friday. Now I-485 is totally done, and you can drive a complete loop around Charlotte.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Nick, that's what makes me think it's probably a DB9 too. I looked on FCI's website and couldn't find a Vanquish that matched this one, but I did find that DB9 in your link. And thanks man! After hearing that Maserati going down the highway, it's no contest for me.

Thanks as well Luke and Michael. Looks like it's settled then. I'll leave it under DB9. Was kind of hoping it was a Vanquish so it'd be featured haha.

And Lamborarri, yes I do :) spotted something special this past weekend and I'll have it uploaded by the end of the week.

Hard to tell if it's a DB9 or Vanquish on ES...the quality really suffers here. Unfortunately I think it's a DB9 because of this:

http://www.foreigncarsitalia.com/New-2015-Aston-Martin-DB9-2-DR-Charlotte-NC/vd/22362989

and because there's not a black Vanquish at FCI. But great spot and shot anyway! Not sure which I'd choose...I love Aston Martins but the GranTurismo MC is crazy hot and sounds insane!

The new DB9 looks very similar to the Vanquish. It's easy to mistake the DB9 for the Vanquis, but im 99% sure this is the 2014/2015 model of the DB9. Both have got very similar front facing looks with very similar shape, but im sure it's a DB9. From the side of the Vanquish, just behind the front wheels is where an indicator is located, but from this view, it isn't visible. So, from that, i say this is a new generation DB9.

Does look like a vanquish, but there's always a chance! Great shot!

That's what I thought when I first saw it on the road, but looking back on my pics I thought it was a new DB9. They look so similar at a distance!

Hopefully a few others can help me identify for sure.

Don't change the category with my comment only because I'm not sure of this, but I think that's a Vanquish. Awesome shot Dustin, aerial pictures like this are so cool!
