Thats why when a Japanese car will start being sold here, ex. Nissan Note, they have to add a more powerful engine, widen it, and increase the airbag count.

@Davis: I saw a blue R34 at a show in Palo Alto (Silicon Valley) a few years back. Can't believe I didn't get a picture lol. Never saw another. It was RHD btw.

You can import any car to the United States I'm sure. You just need to have the car meet safety regulations and (sometimes) emissions standards. It's so much harder than it sounds. You need to have a ton of paperwork that shows it was tested by a government-certified crash tester, so on.. The R34 and before were not sold in the United States because of crash test ratings that failed to meet the U.S standards.

Interesting article about its importation.. http://jalopnik.com/5775509/feds-launch-new-crackdown-against-nissan-skyline-owners

Well, I personally have seen numerous Mitsuokas... In Japan. I haven't seen any here though.
I've never seen a Holden :)

It's probably like the Holden. If you do see one, you got lucky.

I'd get the Himiko. To me it looks kinda like what would happen if Morgans were made by Daimler.

If you're talking about an Orochi, then yes: http://www.exoticspotter.com/other-other-tokyo-roppongi-japan-16135. If you're talking about the Himiko, then maybe. When you search "Mitsuoka" only 6 pictures show up, because those are the only 6 with the word "Mitsuoka" in the description: http://www.exoticspotter.com/search/?sk=mitsuoka (so actually this photo doesn't show up). So there might be a Himiko on the site, but I'm not gonna go digging through all the Other Other spots.

If you got one of those cars, it would be an eye turner!
Converted, The Himiko costs about $39,000 to 40,000
The Mrochi costs about 105,000

I'd get a Himiko. They look like more modest-looking Wiesmanns. Or an Orochi, that thing is viscous.

Interesting!

When we visited Japan, my dad really liked the Viewt. He said if we lived there, we would probably get one :)

You do have a point!
Te Viewt is based off a Micra, the Galue, is off of the Gloria, but what about the Himiko?

Yeah, Mitsuoka bases all their cars off Nissans, Toyotas, Mazdas, etc., except the Orochi. And yeah, the Infiniti M45 was known as the Nissan Gloria in Japan.

So Mitsouka can just buy a ton of Nissan chassis, and reuse them?!
