Hmmm Those dark wheels are a bit of a mystery. I havent been able to find any references to dark ones. There are references to the silver colored ones, one place say they are made out of Palladium. They could just be painted, but that adds weight - why would someone do that to that kind of car. Basically more research is needed.

Jafo, I know McLaren only makes parts that really combine function as well as aerodynamics to the design. The wheels should not be any different for them. This is the first time I have seen a shot of a darker wheel and they look gorgeous! Excellent shot again.

Jafo excellent spot. My biggest complaint on the SLR has alway been the stock wheels. These darker colored ones look perfect!

CS99, I dont know about hunting for specific cars, that will make you crazy. But whenever you are in any big city you will always be surprised by what comes around the corner. Just keep your eyes and ears open and always take the shot when you get the chance.
