I'll take an upcoming Corvette ZR1 with a manual any day of the week over the Roadster. Teslas are nice cars, don't get me wrong, but I'll take superior sound over superior acceleration all day.

After listening to a startup and some revs of the new ZR1, I actually don't care for the sound too much. I like the 'nasty' sound of the C7 Z06, but I'm not sure about the ZR1, seems a bit too raspy for me.
For a good sound around the price of the Tesla, I'd go for a manual or PDK 991.2 GT3.

I'd still take the Tesla. I like the company, I like the tech, and to be honest the acceleration is even more incredible without the sound.
