This is a Testarossa with 512TR wheels and painted sideskirts (and front chin spoiler).

The easiest way to tell that this is a Testarossa and not a 512TR from the rear, is that the taillights feature the amber-colored lamps (the 512TR's were just red/white), the top of the flying buttresses have the black trim on them (the 512TR's do not), the buttresses start about an inch below the roofline and stop a few inches short of the rear edge (the buttresses on the 512TR start right at the roofline and go nearly all the way to the rear edge), and the hump on the engine cover is taller and red/body-colored (the 512TR's hump was black and much lower, and from this angle likely wouldn't be seen).

Also, I was just comparing the two on Google images to see if there were any more differences from this angle, and I noticed the Pininfarina badge on the side differs between the two. As you can see here, it's just the script on the gray rectangular badge. On the 512TR, it's the script against the body (no rectangular badge), as well as the Pininfarina logo above the script.

If you have pics of the front, then we'll definitely be able to tell! Though, looking at the front of the car on this picture, it looks rather con-caved at the front, meaning it could well be a 512TR...

Arab plate IN YORK???? xDDD That seems possible, but incredibly unlikely, but could be true. I have seen a Ukrainian plated car before (Opel Vectra on Aftermarket wheels). I've seen about 3 GTS's in York, none were black though! It's awesome that there are cars like these Testarossas which are still out and about in Yorkshire, it's amazing!

Smokey or what haha! I saw a Testarossa a week ago, and it looked to have the same wheels too as this un...maybe the same one. Happy you saw some more cars around York City Centre, was the Carrera GTS blue?

Anyway, stunning find man! Amazing, hope you find some great cars in Edinburgh, i hear there's a lot knocking about there :D
