So you play around with your Dads 85mm 1.8 with these settings on your Rebel
-Aperture Priority f2.8-4.0
-ISO 400 (Increase as it gets darker so your shutter speed doesnt go before 125 ever)
-Focus set to AI focus or AI Servo
-Set focus to middle point

This is right next to the US Consulate (you can see the windows in the upper right) with the car going south. Then around 15min later he went back up north. Probably picked someone up from Union Station or something. This was really the only usable shot of him. I was trying stuff with the camera that day, I got a lot of funky but useless shots.
