Porsche 918 Spyder spotted in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Details on This Porsche 918 Spyder:

  • Location
    Minneapolis, Minnesota
  • Description
Look at the size of those wheels. This brand new 918 was getting winter tires (the owner is using it as his daily driver during the winter) and some exhaust work. My friends and I checked this repair shop (which usually only services BMWs and Audis) on the off-chance that something cool might be there, and we found this. A good way to end the year considering I hadn't spotted anything since early October. I appreciate any constructive criticism of the edit.

Why does he have them there all the time? Spotting this there was a meaningful surprise at first but now it seems kindof futile.

I saw a Targa 4S downtown on Saturday and yes, I agree that it is rather ugly.

No you're not missing out on much here in the cities. Besides an R8 that I saw last Sunday I haven't seen anything since October-ish

Nope, the guy with 3 918s is the guy at the Motorplex, and I don't think his sons are old enough to drive. But I bet the guy with the Singer is the one buying the GT3

Interesting. I guess I'll have to trust you on this one. The representative from Porsche Minneapolis must've gotten two people confused since he told me that this guy (the owner of at least one of the 918s who was there buying a GT3 for his son) was the owner of three 918s, a P1, a McLaren 12C, an SLS, two Singers, a Carrera GT, and a couple other things. He said the guy with all three doesn't have a garage at Automotorplexx and he keeps them privately in St. Cloud.

The guy with the P1 is not the same guy with the 2 Singers, I know both of them

iMola? If so, Lamborarri, they service many high end cars there since it's one of the only places in the state that will service Lamborghini or other exotics

Yes, 3 918s. One white Weissach package, this normal blue one, and one more. They are all specked between $900,000 and $970,000. This dude has great taste in cars AND he's very kind. He asked me to help push his Carrera GT into a spot at a C&C last summer and he let every kid sit in it.

Yeah this guy owns 3 918s (received 2, waiting for 1) so I guess he can feel a little safer driving this in the winter since he has 2 more if anything happens to this. Guy also has a P1, 2 Singers, a 12C, and other things. They said finding the right winter tires for this was a struggle. Thanks for the kind comments

This looks SO much better without the nasty "highlighter green" calipers and "e-hybrid" side badges. What a great spot!
