Tbonian - If you're going to Cary, check the Arboretum Plaza and Umstead Hotel & Spa, both of which are near the I-40 and Harrison Ave interchange. I've seen a 997.2 GT3 RS, Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series, Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster, Ferrari F12, Dodge Viper, and Jaguar E Type Coupe in that area, and I've only been there a few times before. There are some nice restaurants at the Arboretum, so if you get the chance go on a Friday or Saturday night.

I've also seen a couple of exotics in the Kildaire Farm Rd/Tryon Rd intersection and the High House Rd/Cary Pkwy intersection (the Prestonwood Country Clue is near there which is sometimes decent for spotting).

Tbonian - Charlotte is by far the best place in NC for spotting, in particular the uptown and South Park areas on a Friday or Saturday night. I live near Raleigh and haven't seen anything exotic in several weeks, which is annoying because there are actually a fair number of exotics here.
