I go out in bike, with a radius of 35 kilometers, so I spot while doing cycling training.

I have a person drive me around(my mom). And if I see anything parked, I jump out, get pictures, then run and get back to my car before people start to honk.

I drive to my normal spotting places and drive around scouting for cars. If I see one I would normally drive around the car taking pictures or park and get out of the car if its something special.

I got to London a lot.
If I see a nice car stopped, I get the car to stop. If a car is moving, we chase it,

I either find a bench by the side of the street and sit there for a few hours (average : 6-10 per day in the summer)

Or

Have someone drive me around richer towns or on the highway with my camera ready and my window down

Or

Walk around Sodus Point searching for cars to photograph.

Normally i do all three each day in the summer.

When i go to York, Leeds, London, Harrogate etc. i just wonder the city streets and try out car parks, in hope to catch something. I keep the camera on me at all times for the perfect shooting opportunity.

I keep an average quality 70's tripod at my house.

An average quality 2000's tripos in my car.

And i have a professional Bogen/Manfrotto studio tripod at my house because i dont have a head for it yet. When i get one i'll start carrying it around even though the tripod itself weighs 12 pounds.

Lots of people do at first but after about a month the locals just kinda got used to it and started to expect me to be out there. I get much more weird looks when i'm actually taking a picture of someone else's car than i do waiting for one.
