I don't go out spotting most of the time. Whenever my parents are doing errands, I tag along with them, and wait outside the building they are in, and wait for cars to pass by. However, when I go to Greenwich, we always drive down Greenwich Avenue to see if there's anything.

IMO the best way to do it, rolling around Mosman, Star Casino, The Hilton, Edgecliff, The Spit (Yes it's really called that), Rose Bay, George St, Double Bay, Manly/Brookvale (Suprisingly good), The CBD in general is alright, my local shops (very rich neighbourhood) as well as Alexandria.

I drive around with my camera in the passenger seat.
There's not really a need to go car spotting because there's exotics everywhere in Dallas.
Mostly Bentleys, Maseratis, Rolls Royce, Lotus, and loads of G wagons
But ocassionally, you can see Lamborghinis, McLarens, Ferraris, and rarely, Veyrons

generally, whenever i go to like a big city, i keep an eye out for anything nice. the latest thing i saw was a Tesla Model S. (no pics) and before that was a Porsche Cayman for sale at a used car lot.
