Well, Fisker just announced their petrol Karma, and sure enough, it will be powered by the Corvette ZR1's V8:

Maybe I should've read the article first lol. Still pretty awesome, though. If I bought a Karma, I'd totally have this done to it.

yeah youre right due to the fact that its an independent american company.. but look at the space its got, a v12 in there would be a monster

If they made a petrol version, I'd imagine the engine being a Ford or Chevrolet-derived supercharged V8. Maybe a twin turbo.

i agree, im not hating on the whole hybrid thing.. but its not for me.. if this came with something like the v12 from the rapide or tt v8 from panamera turbo s i would drive the hell out of it

It is a better looking car than most 4 doors on the road. If they did try to make it a typical car and not an electric it would have never been built. Unless Fisker went back to designing for Aston Martin or BMW, this design would have never been produced as his own company without the electric option and the money from the US Government to produce these.

It is a shame because Henrik Fisker is a great designer and say what people will about this car, seeing it in person and the lines and proportions really make it a special vehicle.
