Car could've came from Silicon Valley, doesn't necessarily mean that he has CA plates. He could've moved to MA and registered his car in MA.

Thanks Jack and Kevin. Chase, I didn't check. It's possible because the plates were white (which could mean MA or CA). Judging by the non-MA inspection stickers I'd assume it did have CA plates
