Everybody here just needs to calm the f*ck down, and this thread needs to be deleted. I knew once DjShift mentioned politics and religion that there was going to be an all-out argument with trolls, and a***ole comments to one another. This needs to stop, and lets just get back to talking about cars.

I don't see what your big deal is with this. I don't really care because I can take my opinions being challenged. Plus I rather enjoy a decent argument from time to time. You don't have to take part in this. If you dislike it so much, then stop posting on it.

This is not going to be a "decent" argument by the ways things have gone in the past. I cannot risk anybody getting mad at each other. You guys always blame me for causing arguments and problems on the site, yet when someone else does it, it's suddenly okay? I don't think so.

Arguing is fine as long as you can keep your sh*t together and form constructive arguments based on logic/evidence and at least try to act mature. To be honest, I was hopeful that things would get back on track after my original mini-rant a page ago so how about you just let it go and everyone moves on?

Um... Nobody ever mentioned religion and i didn't bring up politics. Why would we delete the thread when the conversation's just starting to get exciting?

EXCITING?! People are trolling, and writing horrible comments to each other. Someone is going to get hurt real bad if this doesn't stop NOW.

Hurt? It's the internet... None of us have ever met in person and if we did, i think this "arguement" would be the last thing we'd be talking about let alone fighting over.

Here, we are doing it willingly. We know that posting in this thread has the high possibility of leading us into an argument. I'm not sure how anyone could post in this thread /not/ expecting to take part in an argument or something. You seem to be the one having the most trouble with this idea. Honestly what you're doing is reminding me of one of those overprotective mothers who wants something banned because a kid /might/ get hurt. Yeah, sh*t happens, and sometimes we've just got to take it and move on.

I was discussing that same topic with one of my friends at school the other day. I hate when people use the reasoning of "that might hurt me" or "you could have killed me". If nothing DID happen, there should be no reason to be mad over it.

You aren't the only one who has had that happen. I think most people have had issues at school. Some people have just learned to be able to handle it better than others. Many of the people here know what they got themselves into, so I don't see why you're making such a big deal out of it all.

Lol. That's because 99% of what's said in there is just song titles.

I think that's BS because just because it didn't happen doesn't mean you should keep doing it. It COULD HAVE happened, but you just got insanely lucky. This is what my mom said after I told her I sat in a 458 Italia in Ridgefield because she said I could have gotten kidnapped.

I like that idea, Brian. You seem to know exactly what you're talking about with this. I enjoy an argument based on logic.

Lol no, that's terrible reasoning. If someone pulls out a gun and shoots around you 10 times as a "joke" never meaning to hit you and in the end he doesn't actually hit you, you have plenty of reason to be upset.

edit: unless you're both f**king crazy.

When you came into this thread, you gave up your rights to secure opinions. In the same matter do you;

Go on pornhub without expecting to see porn?
Go on 4Chan without expecting to become an alibi in a crime?
Stand in the road without expecting to be hit by a car?
Drift on black ice without expecting to crash?
Purchase a Bugatti without expecting to break the law?
Get in a stranger's van without expecting to be raped?
Murder someone without expecting to go to jail?

Anything /can/ happen. I could get hit by a meteor while I'm sitting here on my computer now and die. Does that mean I'm going to go and try to build something to keep it from happening? No. Of course there are some things you should take precautions to keep from happening. Like getting an alarm system to prevent burglaries, or driving safely to keep from getting killed. In some cases, however, I feel if you know and accept the risk, I don't see a massive issue.

It's like cars for example. The government puts idiotic regulations on cars, going so much so to the point of making million dollar exotics illegal because it doesn't have an airbag or something. That mainly affects the occupants of the supercar first of all, and secondly, if you pay a million dollars for something, I'm pretty sure that means you accept any risks that may come along with it.
