Here's one:
On a Sunday morning a man was murdered in his mansion. His wife immediately called the police. There were five other people in the house. Here were their alibis:
Gardener: I was planting flowers.
Maid: I was getting the mail.
Butler: I was cleaning the closet.
Wife: I was asleep.
Cook: I was making breakfast.
Who killed the man and why?

A woman's dead body is found laying in the middle of the desert. There is nothing around her but sand and a rock. The body only looks to be dead for about a day. How did she die?

I've heard this riddle! Our warm up in writing class is a riddle and this was one of them. It was slightly different, however. Nobody could get the answer so he didn't tell us the answer. Here's my guess: The cook poisoned him with his breakfast

My guess is the wife. The fact that she "immediately" called the Fuzz makes me suspicious of her.

I've never heard this before, but it just dawned on me that it has to be the maid! The mail doesn't come on Sunday!!!
I'll try to post a riddle if I can find a good one.

The owner of a successful business in the UK had to make a trip to the US, for business reasons. He decided to take an airplane to the US. On the day before he was supposed to leave, his night watchman told him not to take the plane.
"Why?" the business owner asked?
"Because last night I had a dream that an airplane heading to the US crashed. There weren't any survivors."
Being a bit superstitious, the business owner decided to take a boat instead. When he arrived in the US, he learned that the airplane he was supposed to take had crashed, killing everyone aboard.
When he got back to his business in the UK, he gave his watchman a handsome bonus - then fired him. Why?
