Today i got my hands on a custom UK license plate that i ordered yesterday. A great addition to my growing collection of UK, German and USA plates. In the USA collection (unpictured) i have 2x California (One taxed in '86, the other without a sticker), 2x Florida (One 2004 taxed, one '89 taxed), Texas, '74 Minnesota, Utah, Kansas and Illinois.

Where do you go to buy the british plates? I know you live in York so it's easier for you but do you know of any american websites with them? I need an antique back metal plate and a matching front custom sticker plate that will fit a Rolls Royce Silver Spirit or Silver Spur. And i dont want a custom one, i just want a plain, as normal as it gets, plate with any combination at all.

Okay. Yes, i do still want to buy one. I like how they look, i like the brand, i have parts suppliers and a free mechanic, i have contacts i'm talking with to make sure i purchase the right ones (Silvawraith), and i'm aware of all the costs i'll be incurring in the purchase of the car. Since those are the only reasons people are giving me on why i shouldn't get one, i really dont see the issue.

Many of the UK based websites can send out these license plates to countries in the European Union and the states. I used http://www.platecreator.com/ for mine.

For the Classic style (Black background, silver embossed lettering), try this website. http://www.vintage-plates.co.uk/ They do send plates overseas too..
