Ummm genuinely wondering why my perfectly legit spot of an S600 in NYC was deleted. It stayed up for I think about an hour, but then it got deleted for no apparent reason. Here it is:

Maybe it's because it doesn't have the Maybach emblem on the back. Just the regular Mercedes Benz logo

The Maybach S600 is supposed to have the MB emblem on the back. Mercedes-Benz is the make, Maybach S600 is the model.

Who knows why this was deleted. Mods/Admins have been known to be flaky when it comes to what stays and what goes. The general consensus is that they do whatever the hell they feel like at any given moment when it comes to certain cars. No real consistency. What a shame, this is a really beautiful car.

Since this is actually a Maybach, my best guess would be that the shot makes the spot look illegal in some way, shape, or form. (I don't know which)

honestly, I think they are picking on you... that really isn't fair. I haven't even seen one yet and they are incredibly luxurious. This should have stayed up. :(

It may have accidentally been deleted instead of unfeatured. That happened to me not too long ago.

Thanks for all your feedback. I'm hoping gregg will see this and tell me why, but if he doesn't I'll message him.

idk, yeah I feel like that sometimes, but gregg wouldn't do that.
Also I don't know why this photo got deleted:

It's because Mercedes changed what a Maybach is. This Maybach is just a glorified S class. It should go under "other" category. Right now we don't have the admin tools to deal with off-models like this, so I had to delete it. The other shot is just a very poor quality photo in that a large portion of the car is cut-off. In the future, this will be accepted as "storage only", meaning it would be on your profile page only. For now, we don't have the tools to deal with it, be patient.

My advice is to hold off uploading any photos that don't fit into a good category, or lower quality shots.

Not trying to get into the middle of this, but Mercedes seems to have made a great new Maybach that is worth people's money. On the 57/62 models, Mercedes lost roughly $400,000 each time they sold one, whereas they are making a profit everytime they sell an S600 Maybach. I think the new S600 Maybach perfectly deserves to fit into the Maybach category. It is much more than just an S-Class with a few fancy badges on it, have you seen the interior on those things?

I think it would be if the car your trying to photograph is parallel parked like the Maybach this forum is centered around. @jackrabbit898 Hope you find a car to make up for this spot since it wasn't accepted. Good luck!
