I have one last thing to add - are we going to be able to submit blog posts again? I had an idea for one but am hesitant to actually follow through on it because a new post hasn't been made in over 2 years.

The blog is low priority right now because we have more fundamental improvements that need to be made first, but we do intend to do something with that again (and make it easier for members to create news items). We don't want to haphazardly release a blog platform that doesn't work well. When we tackle it, we will make sure it functions well.

The higher priority items right now are to:

1. Get a full list of makes/models so we can categorize the photos properly
2. Improve the moderation, so we get consistency in featured photos (too many low quality photos are slipping by right now)
3. Reskin the site with larger photos and cleaner design, followed later by a full redesign.
3. Improve the member features, so you can organize and store all of your exotic car photos (we want a way for you to upload all of your exotic spottings in one place, even if they are not accepted into the official database, you will still have it in your "storage bin", and people visiting your profile can view them.

There are tons of new features and improvements we want to make. We're not promising the world, but we are committed to making steady, incremental improvements which should make this site a whole lot more interesting and fun to use.

And thanks for all the suggestions, keep them coming, it's always good to hear what you guys are wanting and thinking.

Is there any date or any timeline on when we could expect to see some changes?

change pics size - we are not living anymore in world with small screens. this page needs a huge overhaulin. thats why deleted all my pics.

1. min size 1024. better quality for pics.
2. categories - more and more model speficated

when page is overhault, then i come back. so far no reason much.

Yep, we fully agree. We're working on these things right now.

Is there any chance videos of spots could be posted?

Not sure I agree with the featuring based off of photo quality before car especially an Alfa Romeo 8C. But okay I guess, it's a new idea, maybe it will make more sense to me later on.

I don't like the video uploads on car websites

I think they're just tyring to keep it to higher quality images so the front page is more apealing for people visiting the website.

Of course this is the reason. 95% of visitors to ExoticSpotter do not upload photos, they just want to see good shots of nice cars. It's our job as moderators to curate and pick the best ones.

This is just an off-the-top-of-my-head thought, but how about a random photo feature? This way, you can see photos from through the history of Exotic Spotter, featured and unfeatured.

That's true, I can see that. I'm just kind of confused, what was the reason for deleting my picture of the McLaren P1? I mean multiple people even said it was a good picture.

And what was the reason for unfeaturing the Porsche 918?
And the Lamborghini Aventador SV?
I mean I've been taking pictures for years and I've taken photography classes, I'm not a pro or anything, but help me, I'm just not seeing what makes these pictures deserving of being unfeatured.
