Yeah, it got spot of the day!

Went checking the site again and it seems that I found out something unpleasant.

Not to be racist/discriminate someone here, but it seems that AG didn't really care much about spots outside Europe and North America area. From what I see, they usually only featured spots from Europe and North America both on their main page and Facebook page. About 90% of the spots featured were from that area, so if you were not a spotter from the said area, then you might be out of luck.

To be honest, I would disagree with that statement. I have seen a spot from Indonesia featured before. It is just because there are not as many spotters outside of Europe and the USA and therefore there are not as many spots. Pretty much 90% of spotters are from Europe and the USA. I'm glad that spotters from elsewhere like Brazil and South Korea are starting to join.

I already see the problem. It's because the spot had no full view of both the front and rear. AG requires an up-close view of both the front and the rear (at least one per side). It cannot be a far shot (I saw that your shot is quite far). And also, the rear part is quite blurry.

Uploading pics like this would give higher chance for the spot to stay intact on the site (I used the spot uploaded by my friend):

I'd be happy with that explanation, except I have a lot of spots like this one that manage to stay up.

I think it depends on what angles you get. In the pics uploaded you didn't get a clear shot of the rear, but you did of the front. That is probably why.

Now AG also does not allow shots sent by/from other people. So even if I give my spots to be uploaded by my friend with permission, it will still be deleted. Every spots uploaded to AG now had to be your own.

Because recently I asked my friend to upload my pics to AG (with granted permission by me), and ALL his spots got deleted. He also got banned for a week because of this, as he did the violation up to 7 times. (one spot counts as one violation, and 7 spots means 7 violations)

It allows shots sent by other people, as long as they have not already been uploaded by the other person on AG. For example, my friend uploaded some pics I hadn't uploaded on AG that were sent to him by me.

Nope, I haven't uploaded any of the spots that had been deleted. When he posted it (with my permission), it just got removed straight 12 hours later. It could also translate that AG does not allow any spots sent from others now.

Update: an admin had changed the uploader name to my old name (Jonathan6506), despite I had no longer using the said account.

Your friend shouldn't have stated your account in the post then. To be fair, it could seem like he is stealing your photos and pretending he got your permission. If he is to post your spots, he shouldn't mention that they are your photos otherwise they will probably be deleted.
