Just wondering why you don't post? It sounds like you are an active photographer and you know your stuff about cars so are you planning on posting some time in the feature?

Well, just upgraded to a DSLR and bought a Nikon D3200. Came in yesterday but I had a midterm to take late at night so I didn't open it. Now it's morning and I'm opening this thing and I swear it feels just like Christmas. Best feeling in the world.

nice choice. do you like it so far?

Love it so far. Though I'm going through something of a learning curve and there is a LOT to learn right now. Felt courageous so I pretty much shot all of today in full manual and a good portion of my shots are messed up (which is a shame cause there was a 250 SWB present) but practice makes perfect. The doubling of pixels is really nice though. Once I get the hang of things I'll be able to do a lot more with 24mp than I used to with only 12.

Yeah, have you read the manual yet? It really helped me to learn everything about the camera. And hopefully you got a few good shots of the 250. The 24MP really helps me though. Set it to 55 and crop far and i havent missed a shot yet.

Yeah, I flipped through the manual when I didn't understand what a button does or something but there's really no point to reading the manual with this camera as there is that guide button on the left that you can press if you want to know what something does. The camera is very user friendly and I really like that.

It really is. Have you tried out the in-camera editing? It's like an entire photoshop built into the camera. I reccomend shooting in "raw & jpeg" so you can use the "nef raw processing". It's awesome. Can do an entire edit in 10 seconds.

Eh, I wouldn't be too comfortable doing that. Waste of memory space and I'd prefer using Lightroom anyway :P
