Uploaded an awesome Aventador Roadster pic the other day and it dropped my score (the good way) a whole 30 points!!! i'm afraid to upload non featured cars now. Will it matter?

Unfeatured spots still do help to lower your score even more. Just slower because it's based on the views/comments/likes/favorites.

From what I know, it wouldn't improve your rating. I believe if you upload a shot that gets more than your average likes/comments, your rating improves. But if you get less than your average, your rating can suffer. It's not totally about aggregate likes/faves/comments, it's mostly about average. Not that I care, but my rating is 8 and I've uploaded a lot less than most other people have, but the reason I'm so high is because of the average amount of likes and comments. So posting pics that get on the front page will ensure that you get more attention, but the opposite would mean you'd get less and your rating probably wouldn't improve.

I agree with w16, unless i get 35+ likes, my rating simply doesnt move. Infact i went from 49 to 65 because i posted a load of photos that only got around 20

so i have 80 pictures that are under 10 likes. and about 35 under 15 likes. if i deleted them, would my rating drop (as in get better) by a lot? i'm not going to do it though, because i'm not going to delete almost half my history of being here

I deleted almost 50 cr*ppy pics a while back, and my rating increased over 60 points. I'm still so mad at doing that so don't do it yourself.

If you care about your rating, which it seems like you do, then don't post average cars. I'm assuming you don't see very many special exotics but that's the only way you'll make any impact in the rating system. If you look at the spotter rankings, the people at the top only post exceptional cars and great photos. I'd say, for your sake, stop worrying about it because it's not going to change all that much.
