I'm thinking about buying a used VW Touareg / Touareg 2. What do you guys think about VW Touaregs?

I think they are decent models, however a new one would be better, depending on your budget. Check the Consumer Reports Used Car Guide, as well as CarFax.

Im sorry but carfax is full of sh*t. Every person I know who has used it said it was made up. Consumer reports though speaks good about it however as I predicted, maintence is the worst factor. My budget is only 15k too, so I don't think ill be getting a new one haha

Carfax may not always be 100% truthful (although usually it is pretty correct), but it's at least giving you /some/ info on the history of the car. Some information is better than no information, especially when buying a car that could end up being a lemon.

I was watching a special on TV about how carfax for some used car dealerships like Carmax is usually wrong.

Carfax has everything that is reported on their site. If someone is involved in a wreck and does not call the police then they have no way of knowing about it. They also have a Carfax guarantee meaning if their was a reported wreck or major issue and they don't have it then they'll pay for your car. It might not have everything but if their is a reported crash then its a good place to find out about it and what happened.
