not sure how well this would work

but i think it would be a good idea if we could vote pictures on and off the front page

example.. someone uploads a bad picture of a featured car (shouldnt be uploaded for one but people still do, but it doesnt deserve to be on the front page) so we could vote it off to the unfeatured section

and it can work both ways, someone uploads a great unfeatured picture or a car that is worthy of being featured we can vote it onto the front page to get the attention it deserves

not sure how many votes it should be maybe 5-10, cant be too high or their wouldnt be any point

But the admins would definately have to approve of it because just like there was with the dislike button, there will be trolls.

This suggestion also falls into the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" category.

If a featured car is posted, it deserves to be there. If someone doesn't like that particular shot, just ignore it and go on about your business.

It's that simple.

This site should be more about sharing shots of beautiful exotics instead of finding ways to get more 'likes'.

this isnt all about getting more likes, its comments, likes... more of a chance of different people getting editors choice

if the shot is horrible it shouldnt be on the front page

and this helps the better shots get seen

it means the better featured shots will be on the front page longer
and the usually lesser seen unfeatured spots have a chance to getting alot of attention

and no its not all about likes, i really annoys me when people say that
but yeah its about sharing photos but likes are a big thing on the site
people want their better photos on the first page on the their profiles and unless its a feature spot its unlikely an unfeature spot will get on your front page

and unless the admins let people choose which photos they want on there first page then likes will continue to be a big thing on the site

and as long as you dont beg for likes its ok to want them

I like this idea but it seems like it is kind of complicated. I think it would work as long as the trolls didn't take over and vote good stuff off the front page. Currently some of the good photos on the all page do get moved to the feature page.

NO. This is going to bring out trolls. I know that all of my shots will be voted off the homepage because of the spotter, and not the spot itself. Not only will it bring out trolls, but spotter discrimination. Then there would be gigantic arguments, and ES will never get a break
