I've been saving up for either a new lens or camera body. I've been looking around and I think the 60D looks like a good buy. I was thinking of a 7D, but it likes like the 60D is nearly as good, and it doesn't cost as much.

So my first question: Should I get a 60D or keep my T3 and buy an L lens? I've heard that a great lens is sometimes more important than the camera itself, but my camera is only a T3.

Second question: How much better of a camera is the 60D from the T3? I don't want to spend all my money on it and find out it doesn't make a huge difference.

Third Question: Are there any other cameras at or under $700 that you think would be a better buy? I would like to stay with a Canon though.

And one more question, who knows what sites to look at for the best prices?

I have three lenses now, so I would only need the body.

... how do you pay for the lenses? I'd like a better lens, but I don't have the money to pay for one. I only have about $400.00 in my life savings at the moment.

It is kind of a big difference from your T3. But not HUGE, maybe you should get a 24-105mm L lens :P instead

I just went from a T3 to a 60D and the 60D is way better. It has a lot more frames per second and is just overall better in every little way. The increase in megapixels is nice too. The only problem is that it is a lit bigger and a lot heavier so I had to buy a new camera bag.
