Only until really recently (late 1990's-present) are people with hundred thousand and million dollar cars dropping more cash customizing them with matte paint, chrome wrap, pearlescent paint or something that people with this kind of money would not think of doing 20+ years ago for no other reason than to show off. What do you guys think about this? Does it make cars look better or worse? Do you have a preference? Feel free to post pictures of some of the best/worst looking cars you have seen that the owners or a company has done to an already beautiful car.

Luckily pretty much all color/texture changes are done by wrapping. I think that's why it has become so much more popular in recent years, since wrapping didn't really exist until a few years ago. As far as wraps/rims/body kits go, I think they can be pretty cool on some cars, like Lamborghinis and the occasional Ferrari, as long as they're in good taste. I personally hate any aftermarket modifications on the higher-end hypercars, like Veyrons and Enzos, especially ghetto rims. But still, I have seen some modded exotics that I actually really liked, such as my former neighbor's Gallardo (it used to matte orange (clear matte wrap over paint) with slightly different rims, but this is one of my best and most recent photos of it):

I particularly enjoy matte blue, like on this Noble M400:

I do like some body kits, mostly on - dare I say - "lower-end" exotics (as well as Aventadors), like this Regula Tuning R8:

I have a lot more pictures of modded cars I like, mostly from car meets. I'm not gonna post any more here for now, so that I don't flood the thread/spend too much time on it. I think we have thread just for posting modded cars, though...

I enjoy cars the most when they are 100% stock.

This is not my photo, but this is the only matte car I would ever want. Other than that, I don't really like any other wacky paint options.

Stock is the way to go. They were made that way for a reason.

Stock cars are lame 95% of the time. Matte just looks cr*ppy however..

I would probably keep my personal exotic stock, unless there was something about it I didn't like. But then I probably wouldn't have it in the first place.

I'm asking because I saw a matte orange Jetta today that was stanced and it actually looked a lot better than half of the exotics that do it.

Preferably as stock as possible, but if you can somehow pull off a stripe design that works with the car then sure, why not.
