I think it is a no. The replicas are usually pieces of cr*p, and they aren't worth more than a couple thousand dollars. They take away the enjoyment of seeing the real thing, and the pride of the car. The only exception are the Cobras, and those Porsche 550 replicas because they are very well-made, and cost a good amount of money.

Some of them aren't cr*p, but you should be able to tell before posting if it is. I pretty much agree. :)

I think they should. In some cases, spotting a replica is rarer than seeing the real thing :P

Not all replicas, I have seen many Ferrari replicas based off Toyota MR2's and even a Hyundai Coupe, they look terrible and should be burnt. But I have seen a couple Dax Cobra's around and they are amazing and cost around £80,000, so many replicas ain't too bad.

I actually know a decent amount about kit cars. Yes, many more 'mainstream' companies like RCR, FFR, Superformance, and Beck are much higher quality donor kits, but some of these people really put alot of work into them. Each are one of a kind, and each are works of their owners.

The reason why people make kits is usually because they cannot afford the insurance or maintenance of the real thing, yet they should still be applauded for their effort and time put into the car.
