Porsche fucked up when they didn't offer the GT3 with a stick.

I feel like saying it's a car that requires no talent to drive is an exaggeration. It'd still take a fair amount of skill to drive it quickly on a track.

the goal of the car is to get the best lap time. the automatic in it is faster than a human will be able to shift gears.

Not arguing with that logic at all, you're 100% right for saying that, some people just prefer the involvement with a stick. My car is a paddle shifted car and its fun and all and definitely change gears faster than I ever could but it's still not as fun as driving a stick shift like my dad's Porsche. Nevertheless no reason for eliminating a stick as an option, just offer both manual and PDK, won't harm anybody, and you'll satisfy everybody. Hopefully they do that with the GT3RS and GT2's.

yea they should definitely offer both. my miata (in my profile picture) is a manual and it's sooo much fun to drive, so i get why people would get a stick, but i also get why porsche would want to sell automatics, so they can advertise a faster car

Subaru waited too long to discontinue the Tribeca.

Not to mention considering the number of supers/exotics that no longer offer stick as an option (ahem: Pagani anyone?) yet still manage to find themselves on fire, in a ditch, or on the bed of a flatbed missing one or more extremely expensive parts... saying that a car without a stick requires no talent to drive can be a bit of a misnomer. I mean, with all that power at one's feet, I'd rather the driver be paying attention to the road rather than messing around with the distraction of changing gears.

i dont know, i think driving a manual makes you less likely to crash. it requires you to be focused at the overall task at hand, driving. in an automatic, you are ore likely to text or do makeup or something, but in a manual, it's incredibly hard and not worth it
