Yeah it has 24 MP but on the paper the D5100 is a little bit better on the ISO exc...

Yup, higher megapixels is only really important if you are going to make a big print a picture. ISO performance is a much bigger deal

Why would anyone use 25,600 ISO though?

I use a Canon powershot sx160 is which has 16 time optical zoom and 16 megapixels. That is why my shots aren't quite amazing!

I use a Canon A2300. Just a point and shoot but some day Ill own a 650D
