I have a Nikon D3100, but I can't really identify the color of the body. I originally thought it was close to Maserati's Rosso Trionfale, but I matched them up in person and it wasn't. So, some kind of red.

How many megapixels is that?
14.2, but if that's something of importance then the D3200 would be better.
I have heard so many people say they love their Canons, but I think I am a Nikon kind of guy. I am thinking about getting a D3200, but have never owned a DSLR. Are they hard to get used to?

Mine wasn't. If you start out in auto it's easy. You will be shocked by the difference a DSLR makes.
Nikon and Canon are the same . the more you pay the more feature's you get , I have tried Canon and Nikon and didn't find a difference , it's like choosing between a Ferrari and a Lamborghini .

Pretty much what Andrew said. Start out with the basics, then keep learning new little tips and tricks and eventually you'll get good at it. It's a lot to take in when you first start, but it gets easier as you gain experience. As a D3100 user, I can ensure the D3200 should be easy for you to start with.

I currently use a D3200 and it was my first camera. They're so easy to learn on. I highly recommend one.
