Our New Ranking System Highlights Best Spotters

We have launched a new rating system that ranks spotters based on the quality of their photo submissions. The new ranking system adds a gaming element to the site and rewards those who upload good quality photos consistently.

 

How do the rankings work?

There are several different components  including overall likes, favorites, comments and other factors. We will not be disclosing the exact algorithm we use in order to prevent gaming the system, but we can assure you that everyone has the same chance of ranking and we do not manually override any parameters.

 

What should I do to increase my ranking?

The answer is pretty simple: upload good quality photos and receive good community feedback. If your images get more likes and favorites - it's good for your rating. If you upload an image which no one is interested in - it's not good for your rating. If high-ranking spotters like your photos - it adds more to your rating. And so on.

 

We want to ask everyone not to get into heated arguments about his/her rating, analyzing competitor's uploads or blaming them for some misdeeds. We are not going to tweak the rating personally for any particular spotters.

Très bon article, j’aime bien l’idée de donner plus de poids à la rareté et à la qualité des spots plutôt qu’au simple nombre de votes.
Sur https://automoto-meca.fr/
, on aborde souvent ce genre de sujet entre passionnés, surtout quand il s’agit de valoriser de vraies trouvailles ou des modèles restaurés avec soin. C’est top de voir qu’ExoticSpotter va dans ce sens !

Article super intéressant, surtout sur la façon dont le nouveau système met l’accent sur la qualité plutôt que la quantité de votes.
On en parle souvent entre passionnés sur http://avto-remont.com/
, notamment quand il s’agit d’évaluer des restaurations ou des spots un peu atypiques. C’est toujours sympa de voir des plateformes qui essayent d’être plus justes dans leurs classements !

Super intéressant de voir comment le nouveau système de classement va mettre plus en valeur les vraies raretés et pas seulement les voitures les plus “likées”.
De notre côté, on échange souvent sur ce genre de sujets entre passionnés de muscle cars, notamment sur http://www.chevrolet-camaro.net/
— certains membres postent aussi leurs trouvailles et spots, donc ce genre d’évolution du scoring nous parle beaucoup !
