The snow up here in North Dakota is awesome for snow donuts and snow drifting

Car season is year round here, but we do occasionally get a few inches of snow and ice storms in the winter. That's when the city shuts down and no cars are out. But for 90% of the winter, the weather is pretty mild and some days are actually warm.

Your city shuts down with a few inches?

As long as it's under two feet we just plow and keep going.

Yeah, anywhere that doesn't regularly get a ton of snow will shut down whenever it does snow. We got about an inch of snow a little less than two years ago and it took four hours to get home (usually a 30 minute drive at most).

It's because they aren't used to it ans since most people down there have lived there most or all of their lives, they don't know how to properly drive in the snow.

We don't in North Carolina have as many snow machines and salt to put on the roads as they do up north so it takes longer to clear the roads. Also we are in the east so it turns to black ice most of the time

Yeah it sucked. Fortunately we happened to be in the A6 which is AWD, has new winter tires, and a manual trans, so I had about as much control as possible. Truck drivers and Priuses, however....they were getting in the way.

January and February is when spotting is dead here. Spotting slows down late December and picks back up mid-March. Though this year I have seen some exotics out in the cold and snow.

In SoFlo it is warm and snow-less year round but that doesn't necessarily mean that spotting is year round because most of the exotic cars belong to older people who spend summer up north and winter down south.

Anyone who doesn't have constant snow cover in the winter doesn't know what to do when it snows. It's like they go into panic mode and then shut down. Except in Texas it's on a city-wide scale.

Lol remember when it snowed in Atlanta a couple years ago? People were "stranded" on the freeway for like an entire day because of about a half an inch of snow. You could still see the asphalt through the snow cover.

No snow for me anymore. I'm from Utah and the snow up there was amazing. I now reside in SoCal. I'm sick of it and want to move back home.

Haha, seriously? There's Atlanta shutting down in half an inch, and then there's Massachusetts getting 110"+ of snow this past winter and it had only a few places warning people and whatnot.
