their is no more good quality pictures, everyone is stuck with uploading jpegs

the admins took PNG's away, if you upload in png they convert it to jpeg

and the jpegs look worse than they do if you upload them anywhere else even if you upload as a jpeg

Yah, the quality really stinks, and the it seems like all pictures get a fraction of the attention they would before the quality drop. My suggestion is that they expand the memory of the site/ and maybe open donations. Plus, where is all the add money going?

This is not the most popular site, I don't think the adds here make that much money. And the servers arent free...

Does it really even matter? The quality has always been bad on this site but it has never bothered me. Almost all of my highest rated photos are JPEGs and the PNG had no real effect on the amount of likes the photo got. If it is easier for the owners of the site to keep the quality the way it currently is, then I am fine with that.

i understand that the site may need to lower its standards to run cheaper

i liked png uploads but i dont mind then being removed if the jpegs looked like they should do

if you upload a jpeg to Flickr or facebook it looks fine but here it loses quality

Because here's a 50kb limit while other bigger sites usually allow +4000kb photos.
