Is the VW Phaeton exotic? I've only seen 1 ever.

Nope, Not exotic at all. It's only rare cause it sucks so much. Being amazing at being terrible doesn't make a car exotic.

I've only seem one or two though! I know a man who works at a VW dealer, and he said that they had to come in for service a lot. I also read that they have around 130 buttons, and 44 of the, are on the steering wheel!

They're not exotic. The Phaeton was a bust from day one, but VW was smart enough to use the platform for the extremely successful Continental!
VW sold very few in the years they sold them in the U.S. I've actually seen a good number of them, although I think a large part of that is because they sold a ton of them in Charlotte, which seems odd to me.

It's not exotic at all, but my question is why people think it sucks. I've heard these cars were great, but the issue was that people didn't want to pay $75,000+ for a Volkswagen. I could be wrong, but I think the car deserves a little more credit than you all are giving it.

Yeah, I see them every once in a while and I think they're pretty nice.
