Any real car person would rather have a poorly made car that looks cool and is fast over a well made car that looks exactly the same as every other car the manufacturer makes, including 30k base models.

Most of the "real" car people you describe don't have much common sense, so that does make sense.

Checks out.

Even that may be over shooting it a bit.

Clearly you've never driven a Geo Metro. The handling, acceleration, and build quality of these are amazing. You win every single car show you go to with one.

This does not relate to the driving experiences of BMWs, but the fastest I have ever driven was around 80 MPH. That occurred in a 2004 Toyota Corolla, so any faster would be terrifying!

Fastest I've hit was 135mph in my Saab. Could probably go faster

I doubt my Corolla could even reach that speed going downhill! Haha.

Either that dealer is incredibly stupid or I'm missing some important facts here.

So you both use the car daily? How would that even work? (I do know it is possible to get that many miles on a car, I was making a joke).

Well, i don't drive it cause i don't like manual cars but she drives me everywhere so pretty much.

And in that year there's already been quite a few issues with the car. Clutch broke once and is already starting to break again and yesterday the gas tank was saying it was empty when it was really full and they were stranded for an hour fixing it.

We'll probably trade it in again soon. I hate Dodge Darts.

How did the clutch "break?" Manuals are usually a lot more reliable than automatics.

And dude, you should just drive it around a bit...the best way to get good at driving a manual is to actually drive one regularly.

I'm sure I can find pictures of a black one, but /the/ black one? I'm not too sure about that.

We've never had to replace anything on our automatics. My brother had numerous issues with his RX-8 manual. Mainly the other manuals we've had have needed stuff replaced.

And yeah, he's right. It also helps not to have a bad manual to be driving with. I'm fine in most cars but the transmission in the 348 is rather annoying for someone who doesn't drive manual all the time.
