Alright so I'm trying to find a polarizer filter for my Camera, after seeing the improvements that they make. As I've been looking I've seen them priced from $30.00 all the way up to $90.00. I don't wanna get ripped off, so I was wondering if you guys could tell me what a good price for a polarizer would be.

You could get them for five bucks off of eBay

You could get them for five bucks off of eBay
You can get a dinner at McDonalds for five bucks, doesn't mean it's good. Stick to a brand name such as Hoya or Tiffen(what I use) and you should be good.

What camera do you have? If it's a DSLR there's a number for the correct size on the end of it.

Yeah I have a DSLR, it's a 62mm. But a guy I was talking to at a camera shop said there were different polarizers for different lenses. Like Tamaron, Quantaray, etc needed different filters.
So I was asking, do Hoya and Tiffen work for all types of lenses?

You almost always get what you pay for, so if you get a high-end Tiffen or Hoya then you'll end up satisfied. If you have a DSLR then a CPL will work on the lens, doesn't matter what brand lens, only matters what size.

Ok, one more question. The Tiffen and Hoya Polarizers on Amazon. They should be fine, right? They don't sell used stuff on Amazon do they?

Tiffen and Hoya themselves don't, third parties do. If the seller is the company then you can be assured it's unopened.

I have a Hoya for my 18-55 and a Tiffen for my 18-200 and honestly the Tiffen is better, but maybe it's just because my lens is better. Both are excellent choices though, you're looking in the right place.

Also....a polarizer makes your camera look sick from the front.
