What or who made you want to photograph cars? Or even become a photographer or take your photography to the next level?
For me it was Spencer Berke (@thatphphotographer), before I found Spencer's Instagram page I had never taken car photography or photography seriously at all. I kick myself now when I had the chance to take pictures of amazing cars when I lived in Pittsburgh PA, where exotics tend to be more common then where I live now. For those of you who do not know who Spencer is he is a very inspirational man. He has an amazing story and takes amazing photographs. He is currently the photographer for Symbolic Motor Cars. He is the reason why I take all my photography opportunities so seriously now. But I also want to know what sparked your guys' love for photography.
My friends. I just do it for fun, it always makes me feel good to look back at the photos I took that day. Also, it feels great when I get a perfect panning shot.
I would say my friends because I shoot with them side-by-side so it's nice to take tips from them, but honestly I feel I'm at a level beyond them. Not to sound cocky or whatever, I just don't like their stuff and I feel I use techniques that they don't and should.
Gideon Gillard is a huge motivator for me. His stuff is always incredible but he's a top-notch a***ole so I hope the influence is solely through photography lol. Alex Penfold is also a benchmark but I feel like you can't really be like him unless you live in London because most of his photos use the London architecture to aid them.
I've loved cars my entire life, i mean that. Like no joke my first word was 'car' and so i've always had a passion or them.
I just liked remembering what i'd saw, then realized that i enjoy photography and it evolved from there. I found ES and i was like "Whoa a whole site full of people like me!" :D
