"What is the Word of God on the Cannabis plant?

(Genesis 1:29-31) The Bible predicts some herb's prohibition. (Paul: 1 Timothy 4:1-3)

The Bible speaks of a special plant. "I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more." (Ezekiel 34:29) A healing plant. On either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare 12 manner of fruits, and yielding her fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. (Revelations 22:1-2) A gift from God."

OK, so it can be used for healing. But not for the purpose of getting high, just to heal

Sam, the Bible says to stay away from things that alter your mind. This is from an online commentary I read:

"The Bible teaches Christians to be sound of mind. 'Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour' (I Peter 5:8). The Greek word translated as "sober" is nepho, which literally means "drink no wine." From this it derived a broader meaning being self-controlled, free of confusion, clear headed, sound of mind, or keeping your head."

And for all you know, that plant could be poison ivy

Maybe that's a different branch of christianity because the church i go to teaches wine is the source of life (or something like that, i don't know the exact wording). And we can use naturally growing drugs (not legally according to the government but it isn't against the religious rules) (and it doesn't even say anything about synthetics that i know of).
