Also I think all pictures that peoples friends took should be taken down. Its no their spot so why should they take credit for it?

I've posted pictures that my friends have taken, but:
1) I gave them credit.
2) It was a generally good picture.
3) They wanted me to post it, and I'm not gonna be a jerk and say people wouldn't want to see their photo.
4) They would post it themselves, but they're not gonna make their own account just to post one or two photos and never go on again.

So I think they're ok.

I agree, even though I don't have any spotter friends that send me pictures to post.

Here is what I think:

I think the term "exotic" has a different meaning to different people. For instance, near where I live, Tesla's and Porsche's are VERY common, to the point that I don't really notice some of them unless it's a rare edition or model (i.e. 911 GT2/GT3/RS etc). But for other users, a Tesla or Porsche may be a once a month spotting, and they naturally get excited when they see one and stop to snap a few pictures.

Alternatively, Bentley's - and more particularly, Rolls Royce's - are a VERY rare sight in most of my state (there are areas of Charlotte that have a couple of Bentley's, but I usually don't see them unless I am there), so whenever I see a Bentley or Rolls, I always want to take a picture of it. However, in some areas of the country, Bentley's are extremely common, almost like a Porsche or Tesla is here. I think the difference in opinions ads up - like, how many threads have we had about "is the Tesla Model S exotic?" or "why is there a 911 category?" and fuels a good portion of the arguments.

From previous comment:

It saddens me to see users get banned because of posting offensive, disrespectful comments. PLEASE DON'T TAKE THIS PERSONALLY, but I honestly sometimes feel that some users feel either inferior or above other users, and begin to argue that a certain spotting "was at a car show," causing the original poster to defend himself, to the point where they argue back and forth from there.

I love cars, and love spotting. You probably wouldn't know it, but I have a very aggressive temper that I sometimes struggle with to keep in check, and I sometimes find myself about to leave an offensive or disrespectful comment. It took time, but I have learned to stop and read the comment I am about to post, and view it from the perspective of the receiving person and try to imagine what he would feel like. I would like to see other users follow suit and become a bit more patient and respectful, but I do also think that sometimes consequences are the best way to learn.

And so have I, My friends hate this site due to the removed pictures, trollers, arguements and stuff. Because of this they stick to uploading through my page on Facebook.

So posting pics from friends is ok as long as you give them full credit?

I 100% agree on that one. I hate when people post other people's photos. I have never and will never like a photo someone posts when it isn't theirs. It's just like copying an entire essay off the internet and saying you can use it because you gave credit. Just wont work.

Now you see Sam, this is where your wrong. This is a site for sharing pictures of exotic cars. If your friend sees, for example, a 458, and wants people to see it, but does not want to make an account, there is nothing wrong with that imo.

MY TURN!!

this sites logic are all to pot, you cant upload panameras, f-types, Audi RS4,7,8 Ect, Same As Bmw M3, ect, but you can on other rivals to ES, i rarely see any supercars, so when i do upload a Continental, vantage, 911, nobody cares!! it isnt fair in a way, my idea is to scrap the featured page, and upload anything you wont really see on a daily basis, this site really needs a massive sortout, theres a lot more people coming on just to cause trouble, also i would love it if you could upload car vids onto this site,, but as usual i doubt very much the mods/admins will take any notice of us!

Agreed. I've said this before. This site is EXOTICSPOTTER.COM, not just Ferrari/Lamborghini/Bugatti spotter.com... ALL exotics should be appreciated on this site, not just the ones on the featured page. Also, would it hurt the admins to display the photos in a larger size??? That's it for my mini-rant.

I should think so. I've only posted a few pics that aren't mine, but they were my uncles and I gave him credit. He's never going to make an account.

I'm a little confused by everyone's posts. Are you people saying that you only want rare cars on here, or you want everything on here?

Also, there are rival sites? What are they?
