If you make an impostor account you will get caught. The account on this site Southcalispotter was made by a person here with the username JakeH and was not made by the original photographer. This same person was behind the Sketchy and Spotterboy accounts. This person is no longer going to be able to do anything on the site and if anyone else tries something like that the same will happen to them.

The fake account was made buy JakeH. He had several other accounts as well.

This is a great news. I don't understand how this can be thought of as an extreme punishment. Making multiple accounts to boost your ratings is frankly pathetic and when you do that while stealing photos, you just don't belong in this or any other photo sharing community.

Aw, that sucks, there were some good photos on that account, but it sucks even more that they were stolen. I guess he just stole them from Flickr.

Oh, I see. You'd be surprised how much impact this website has on some people. It's a small community and therefore the appreciation per photo can be magnified and people get hooked on that like H. Basically JakeH was an attention whore.

Ah yes, yes it was. There can't be any personal satisfaction from stealing photos so I don't know why people would do it. I don't understand some of the crazy people on this site.
