I think that there should be an option to opt out of comment notifications. Sometimes, I get annoyed when I say "Nice Spot!" on a pic, and then people have their own two way conversation, or a argument I don't care about breaks out. This option would stop comment notifications from that picture, until you turned them back on. What do you think?

You can simply delete your own comment. That way, you will no longer receive comment notifications from other spotters on the pic.

Yes but what if something like the Gallardo photo breaks out? Comment after comment comes up and you can't find that one comment you posted. And if you engage in the conversation at all, then you lose track of all the comments you want to delete.
