Can anyone help me find an available hotel for Monterey Car Week? I'll be staying August 16 and 17. Monterey, Carmel, or Pebble Beach is fine, just as long as it isn't too expensive ($200 a night or less is ok)

I highly doubt that you're going to be able to find anything close by this late.

It is WAY too late. Now is a better time to be making reservations for 2014. You might be able to find something in Salinas or some other surrounding town though.

Also most places have a minimum number of nights you can stay and anything on the Peninsula under $200 that week is unheard of.

Actually I found a place about half an hour away that should be available. Haven't heard back from the owner though.

Use airbnb.com! That's what I use for last second places. Plus you get to live in someones home (or part of it)!

Thanks, that's awesome! The one I found was $250 a night, a little out of our price range. We were gonna just go down on Saturday and come back and maybe do the same thing the day before, but now it looks like I might be able to stay!
