I have matte black Beats solos. I got them like 2 years ago, mostly because everyone had them, I don't really know much about headphones, and the sound quality is good. I don't even listen to rap, I mostly listen to pop punk and such (Green Day (old stuff)).
I have an iPod Nano that I got around 2007-8. It's a little bent in one space, but I have a little case on it, so it's still in pretty good condition and works great. It's amazing how small they are compared to phones nowadays.

I've go 2 Bose quiet comfort 15. They are better than Beats solo HD, I've tried my friends pair. The Bose have amazing sound and they are noise cancelling.

i have a pair of skullcandy 2XL earbuds, and a black pair of Beats solos. i've had mine for almost 2 years now. the only problem i've had with them is the original cord broke, so i have to use a regular AUX cord till i get a replacement. and the rubber thing on the top doesn't like to stay on. that, and they get dirty/scratches on them (they are like Matte black). mine are like really strong. 2 summers ago, i would go ride my bike everyday, so i had them all the way up on my iPod basically all the time. still work perfectly..ive also ran into a tree branch with them on. still in one piece :)

I worry more about my devices than the headphones i use. i use the ones that came with my s3 and the sound quality is good and i have had them since january

I mean they are ok, but for those prices you can get so much better headphones from other less known manufacturers in terms of sound quality, build quality, comfort.
For example AKG, Audio-Techinca, Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser, Ultimate Ears etc. It's not a coincidence that everyone in radio, DJ, audio recording, musician etc. uses these. The only ones who use Beats like some DJ's, only use them because they're paid to do so to advertise, and that makes the masses think that they are something special, while in reality they are overpriced, sh*tty and cheaply made.
