On Saturday I did a driving program to help you learn how to be safer on the road called BRAKES (Be responsible and keep everyone safe). It includes sidpads, slolem, texting and driving, and more. I was wondering if any of you guys had a program like that in your area.

I don't know if it's the same but in nz we drive around in cars with an instructor and they teach you how to drove. Normally the car is a Suzuki swift or similar, and we also do defensive driving courses.

We do that at the age of 14, its called Drivers Ed here. Its a certain amount of time learning in a classroom and a certain amount of time out on the road with an instructer. Some states require it while other don't.

I'd take it again if I could. I had a ton of fun, but they said you can only take it once, for some reason.

No, you can do it as many times as you like. The instructor was telling me if I wanted to do it again to sign up as soon as possible. I'm doing the BMW driving school though, and that is supposed to be more advanced.

Everyone says the skid pad is the most fun, in which it is fun, but I loved the slolem part. I set the record for the fastest speed through it on Saturday. 56mph.
Also, BRAKES was started by a guy who lost his kids in a car crash, and the memorial for where they crashed is where I sometimes sit to spot in the Peninsula. My parents have pictures of the crash because we used to live on the same road
