NOOOOOOO. The reason why we got rid of it was because people were disliking perfectly good photos (I can think of one user right now who must not be named) and they were trolling. Sorry, but we got rid of it for a reason

Again, who cares if a troll dislikes a photo? Okay so now a really good photo has 50 likes and 1 or 2 dislikes. Who cares? On the other hand, people who upload photos that we do not want to see will receive the inverse, 1 or 2 likes and a boatload of dislikes. This would make the general opinion of which photos/cars should not be uploaded much clearer. Again, the good outweighs the bad imo.

We all know the trolls that abused the Dislike button

You weren't on ES when the dislike button was introduced. It caused so many unspeakable problems

Everybody is telling me it caused all these "unspeakable problems" yet nobody can tell me what they are or how those problems outweigh the good it does. I know I wasn't on ES when this was going on, I said that twice. However, Nick (and I'm sure a few others) was there during those times and he believes it would be good to bring it back. I clearly stated how I believe it would do good and provide an incentive for people to not upload bad photos. Please clearly state the problems you are referring to and explain how they outweigh the positive effects of the button

You've actually turned me, who cares if there's 1 or 2 dislikes by some trolls but the cr*ppy photos can have far more dislikes and maybe people will realise that their photos aren't wanted.

ES originally had a 1-5 star rating system. Then they went to likes/dislikes, then just likes. As others said, there would always be a couple people who would just give a dislike for no reason. *cough nathan (RSL)*

You just don't want the dislike button because your photos would all get 20 dislikes Jason that's the truth.

I think everyone who does not support this idea is just insecure about their photos and unwilling to put them to the test. Says a lot that nobody can find a legitimate reason for not wanting this besides trolls who will give great photos 1 or 2 dislikes (a reason, hardly legitimate). For some reason I think people think that these same trolls will "like" their photos if the dislike option isn't there which isn't the case.

No this is a terrible idea. They changed it for a reason. Jealous trolls would go through everything and click dislike for no reason.

Yes, everyone has mentioned this. Did you not see my counter-argument? Who cares if Rupert Procters most favorited photo receives a couple dislikes? There are only so many trolls. It will still be regarded as an amazing photo as will all the other amazing photos.

I am definitely not insecure about the photos I post and every photo I post is a decent quality shot of an unquestionably exotic car. Having the option to dislike something causes WAY more harm then it does good. If someone posted a good spot or photo many people would dislike it just because they were jealous. ES is a much more peaceful and calmer place by just having likes and favorites.

At times it would be one in about every five votes was a dislike on a really good photo just because of the trolls. It was an abused system that causes lots of anger and arguments among people of the site.

I, personally, cannot refute that as this is before my time and I haven't seen that happen but I would imagine that is the worst case scenario. I don't see how arguments and anger can be caused by anonymous people disliking a photo. How do you argue with an anonymous troll?

Because it wasn't really that hard to figure out who was doing it. The most notable person I can think of now was RSL.

The Dislike option is not going to work on here , there are a lot of trolls that will ruin every good photo like they did in the past . There is a reason Admins changed it within a month
