I'm just throwing this idea out there as I think there should be more of a disincentive to upload bad photos/non-exotic cars. Currently there is no way to display your disapproval with a photo without commenting and sometimes it just isn't worth starting the arguments/drama. Why not have a simple dislike button that works in the exact same way the like/favorite buttons do?

I'm honestly shocked nobody else has thought of this before (at least I haven't seen it on the forum).

The site originally had a Dislike button on all spots, and eventually it was taken off for some reason (People complaining, blaiming trolls etc.)

I guess I haven't been here long enough to witness that. Though, I still think there should be a dislike button once again. I can imagine that the people who do upload bad photos will be the same people who will dislike this idea and complain that trolls are disliking their photos. Perhaps the same people who complained before about trolls are the same people uploading bad photos today.

Well you can report a photo but I'm not sure if thats only for bad quality images..

Yea pics used to be rated by stars 1 being bad 10 being good and what he said

Reporting a photo is one thing. A quick, efficient way of showing public disapproval with a photo is another.

As said before, this was on the site before, but great images were being given dislikes by morons which is why we moved to the system in place now.

I voted NO , because this will lead to a lot of problems . We had a dislike button before and a lot of users abused it by disliking awesome photos and creating problems , lets keep it the way it is

not sure about it i would like the button but it can be easily abused
if someone is jealous of another persons spots they may dislike every spot
or if someone annoys another member they could dislike their spots
and if you give bad feedback to a member for bad editing or a bad photo in general they may dislike your spots

Thats what happened last time , every photo that was uploaded had at least 2 dislikes and they were great photo's

I don't understand the issue with having a couple dislikes on your photo. Youtube videos receive dislikes all the time yet nobody cares when there is 1 or 2 dislikes per 100 likes or w.e. Phenomenal photos will receive an overwhelmingly larger amount of likes over dislikes anyway.

edit: I'd rather have the freedom to dislike a photo that I truly dislike than to have the security of knowing nobody can dislike my photos.

It's not the dislikes , its the actual problems that come from it . I don't know if you were a member when they had the Dislike option , but it was a complete nightmare for everyone . Thats why it only lasted for about a month

What problems come from it? I mentioned up top that I wasn't a member then but I could not imagine that the problems from having a dislike button would outweigh the positive effect it can have on the website.

NOOOOOOO. The reason why we got rid of it was because people were disliking perfectly good photos (I can think of one user right now who must not be named) and they were trolling. Sorry, but we got rid of it for a reason
