So I got my Galaxy S5 a few days after it came out, and about a month after, I got in a small argument with my mom. She took my phone, and slammed it into a drawer. It broke the LCD and cracked the screen. We repaired it for $160. Yesterday, it fell into a sink (My fault). It is SUPPOSED TO BE WATERPROOF. It even shows a guy drop his phone in a sink in one commercial. But it broke. The screen wouldnt turn on again. It was flooded. After letting it sit in some rice all night, the screen works again, but the camera (The most important part to me) wont work. So, the lesson to be learned here, is dont buy a Samsung. And don't piss off your mom

This is what happened to the last Samsung I owned. It used to be a Galaxy Nexus. [https://scontent-a-lga.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xap1/t1.0-9/1375885_587099168017694_2106781210_n.jpg]

Maybe the reason it didn't work in water was because it was repaired. But not repaired properly.

I've had 3 Samsung phones (currently have the GS5) and have never had any problems with them at all, and trust me I've beat them up. Dropped my Note 2 out of a moving car. I had a 5 and that randomly stopped working for no reason at all a couple months after I got it and they wouldn't replace it under warranty cause the case I bought from Verizon scratched up the corner.
Edit: This has kinda already been said but the reason the water got in is because it wasn't properly resealed by the repair people. If Droid warranty won't replace it you should see if the company that did fix it has any sort of warranty and go to them.

Yeah, I figured it out. When they "fixed" my screen, they didnt put it on all the way. I was snapchatting somebody and there was a black ring around the camera. When I pushed it down, it went away.

Yup, six .22 caliber bullets went straight through it. I hated that phone so much by the time I got rid of it, which made me feel that this was the only proper way to dispose of it.

I would have done that with my old Motorola, but I had a feeling not too, and now that I have had too use it twice now

There was no way I was going back to that stupid piece of sh*t. I shot it the first possible chance I could after getting my iPhone 5S, and that was only one week later. If I ever need it I still have the pieces in my room lol.

I have a Nokia Lumia Icon. Dropped it one day, the back plate came off, so I snapped it back on. Dropped it tons of times, just 1 tiny chip on the frame. That's Nokia for you. Even the new ones are indestructible
