I'm not seeing where you're going with this. Why are you comparing this to the Prius? The other one is a hybrid the other one is a full electric car? (Technically you can get the i3 with a petrol engine for charging but still) And it's necessary for all car manufacturers to develop their electric technologies in order to survive in the future.
